The wedding customs of many nations are associated with coins. You have probably heard that the bride should have something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. However, this tradition, which is based on an old English rhyming machine, still has a fifth part that is forgotten - it is a coin that the bride has to put in her shoes so that her new family can experience happiness, wealth and prosperity. Moreover, the coins - like the main attribute of today's weddings in the form of rings - are round, thus symbolizing infinity.

The artistic design of the gold ducat was prepared by the talented medal maker Lenka Nebeská, DiS. On the obverse side, there is the inscription WEDDING DUCAT and two pairs of hearts, between which a decorative ribbon is intertwined. She dedicated the reverse side to the bride and groom riding a bicycle, which is indeed a convenient analogy for marriage. Riding in tandem requires the complete interaction and mutual trust of both riders. If they both pull together, take the same pace, have the same goal and respect each other, they are rewarded with less work and more speed, but also more fun and admiration. But when riders are selfish and refuse to adapt to each other's needs, riding a two-wheeler turns into an unpleasant experience and can end in a serious accident…
