Silver coin 1 Oz Star Wars 2020 Guards of the Empire Clone Trooper

The second silver coin from the New Zealand Mint cycle, which features fighters from the Star Wars movie saga, is dedicated to clone soldiers.

When the Galactic Republic found itself at war with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, it turned out to be desperately unprepared for an open interstellar conflict. Its elite servants — the Knights of the Jedi Order — were insurmountable warriors, but compared to the endless hosts of battle droids the separatists had, there were only a handful. Where to quickly take an army that would not only protect the republic, but also go on the counterattack? The answer came from cloned soldiers - genetic copies of mercenary hunter Jango Fett, who underwent accelerated growth and underwent training that allowed them to fight on all fronts. Identical men dressed in white armor excelled in battles on the surface of the planets and in the depths of space. It is no wonder, then, that they gave the name to the entire conflict that went down in history as the Clone Wars.

The reverse side of a patina-embellished rectangular coin presents a colored half-figure of a clone soldier holding a blaster. The entire platoon is then embarked on a plastic relief in the background. The issuer of the coin is the Pacific island of Niue, and its obverse side therefore bears its necessary attributes - the portrait and name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2020 and the nominal value of TWO DOLLARS (NZD). The form of the officially licensed mintage was processed by the team of the New Zealand Mint.

The coin is stored in a special box that protects it and it is set in an acrylic frame that allows it to be exposed.
