Ariel is the fifth archangel to appear on the Czech Mint's silver coin.

In our prayers, we can turn directly to God or to his mediators who guards various aspects of our existence. Archangels belong to the most revered divine beings who listen to human wishes and help those in need. The ways of the Lord are often inscrutable, and when we get lost on them, thanks to these kind and tireless heavenly messengers, we can reach our desired destination... Ariel's name comes from the Hebrew אֲרִיאֵל - Arīʾēl - or Lion of God. He is the protector of the environment that surrounds us and can mediate us a connection with nature or elements. He is a healer of animals and provides the basic living conditions - food, water and shelter.

The reverse side of the coin, which is the work of medal maker MgA. Tereza Eisnerová, presents a winged Ariel with a sword and a halo supplemened with a lion. The obverse side of the coin features a temple window surrounded by wings and shining rays. As the licence to issue commemorative coins of the Czech Mint is granted by the Pacific island of Niue, the obverse side bears its necessary elements - the national emblem, the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2024.
