Product description
The Czech National Bank issues commemorative coins of several different denominations. The most precious ones that come out on the occasion of the extraordinary national anniversaries are the 10000CZK coins minted in gold. While in the last five-year period of commemoration they recalled events from the Middle Ages, in 2018 they celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic. Coins are minted in normal quality standard.
The fact that the Republic was founded on 28 October 1918 was not at all given. One of the options that our founders seriously considered was the preservation of the monarchy - of course without the Habsburgs at the head. After all, the history of the Czech kingdom administered by the sovereign king dates back to the 11th century. The views of the representatives of the anti-Habsburg resistance on whom to sit on the throne differed. At first, Masaryk considered an English or Danish prince, Kramář imagined Romanovci as a change. A number of patriots wished to create the Pan-Slavic Empire under Russian leadership, but when Masaryk himself experienced the outbreak of the Bolshevik revolution, the experience gained him in the conviction that the Russian government was incompatible with European values ... Because Republicanism was a European trend in 1918, Czechoslovakia eventually emerged as a democratic republic.
Still, we have retained our historical heraldic symbols that have created a large national emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic. On the reverse side of the coin there are facsimile signatures of T. G. Masaryk, Edvard Beneš and M. R. Štefánik. Below is the hill with the seedlings, from which the adult linden tree grows on the opposite side. Her crown carries shields with heraldic animals from the large state emblem of the Czech Republic. The sophisticated composition is the work of the leading academic painter Vladimir Pavlica.
All Czech coins are minted in Jablonec’s Czech Mint.
